Combining the benefits of movement, nature, and counseling
Walk & Talk Therapy
Walk and Talk Therapy offers a unique alternative to traditional in-office sessions by combining the benefits of movement, nature, and counseling. Instead of sitting across from each other in a clinical setting, we meet outdoors and engage in therapy while walking side by side at a comfortable pace.
This approach can feel more casual than face-to-face conversation, often making it easier to open up. Being in motion can also help stimulate reflection and emotional processing, while exposure to nature may support mood regulation and cognitive health.
Walk and Talk Therapy may be a good fit if you find it difficult to sit still for long periods, feel more at ease in outdoor environments, or are looking to integrate a more holistic, body-based experience into your mental health care. Our walk takes place on a mutually agreed upon route, with attention to privacy, and weather conditions.

This format is flexible—I always follow your pace, both physically and emotionally.
There also may be times when a walk has been planned, but you don’t feel up for it, or the focus of the session would be best addressed in a more traditional format. We will pre-arrange plan B options such as meeting indoors, or via Telehealth for these situations.
Whether you're dealing with difficult emotions, life transitions, or simply want to try a more dynamic approach, Walk and Talk Therapy creates space to move, literally and figuratively, through whatever you're facing. I offer walk and talk sessions on a limited basis and this option also has some drawbacks. Inquire about availability when considering if this approach is right for you.
